i was in grade seven when i first read this book from my Pastor’s book collection…it’s a great book written with simple language on Humility.

Twenty years ago for me, still praying and desiring the humility of Christ. Yes, it is a great book, second only to the greatness of the work of humility that our Lord does in us.

Clicked the link and read the ‘LOOK INSIDE’ preview about the liner named PRIDE and the boat to PARADISE. As a former Merchant Navy navigating officer I can relate to the story, and strangely I had a vivid dream last night in which I was back at sea and keeping watch. The charts on the ship were in poor condition, had not been corrected, and many were missing. There was some sort of very basic GPS with a read out of latitude and longitude (in my day we used the sun and stars, sextants and spherical trigonometry!) but no-one other than me appeared to have any interest in plotting the ship’s position on the charts (basic!). In time we arrived at a small uncharted island with a stone jetty too small for the ship to dock. That meant taking a small boat to shore. I hadn’t a clue how we supposed to work cargo. Then I woke up. Now I am full of questions! Just downloaded your book to my Kindle so I shall read on.
